Walls and silos

There’s an interesting article over at Guardian Unlimited about how big companies are beginning to listen to bloggers and other sources of online buzz. My favorite quote comes from Max Kalehoff of Nielsen BuzzMetrics:
“Most Fortune 1000 companies are not of the cultural mindset where they talk directly to their customers . . . They’ve built so many walls and silos that they’ve lost that direct communication.”
Walls and silos.
The goal of Sutori is to make is to weaken those walls and silos and open up direct communication again. More talking on listening on both sides of the wall . . . for the benefit of everyone involved.
